Martin Ranch 23.12.2020

All of us here at Martin Ranch would like to wish farewell to Amber Riehl as she steps into a new adventure managing her family's horse boarding and training facility at Meadow Lynn Farm! Amber started as a student at Martin Ranch for several years before becoming an employee. Her passion for her Horsemanship showed as she improved her skill set constantly! Seeing Amber grow into the confident rider that she is today has been a pleasure to watch. She put in the work and it is paying off! We are excited for your future and are confident that you will do very well! Thankyou for your past two and a half years of service and don't be a stranger!

We have been crazy busy wrapping up our show season for the last month so I got a little behind with show updates and posts! Today we have an employee spotlight that is pretty cool! Jeannette Martin has been working at Martin Ranch for almost 2 years now and was a student for several years before that. When she first came out to the ranch she was mostly a trail rider with basically no experience arena riding. This post is a testament to where hard work and perseverance can ...get you! From the time she started taking lessons around 6 years ago she rarely missed a day of riding, or a lesson. At this point Jeannette had already had 3 kids and was mostly working on their family's dairy farm. So she was getting into competitive riding later in life than some people. That didn't stop her however and she stuck it out through the highs and lows and eventually began working for us here at Martin Ranch. At the last reining show here in Ontario at the OBBO it all came together for her when she won the Rookie Pro, Limited and Intermediate Open with a very nice ride on Ynot Wowza owned by Ynot Farms! I write this post in the hopes that someone else who is looking at a competitive horse sport and thinking that they can't do it because they didn't start as a kid, reads this and realizes that anything is possible if you put in the work! Congratulations on your win Jeannette Martin!!

Employee spotlight! Amber Riehl and her gelding earned the Youth North Eastern Bridle award last year and were featured in this article of the Reined Cowhorse News! It was commemorated on this cool looking plaque! Amber started riding as a kid on her parents' farm. As she became more interested in competing she became a student at Martin Ranch and after a few years of that became an assistant trainer. We value her talent and passion for the industry and are thankful for what she brings to our business! Congratulations Amber!! #equipurina #tinandturquoiseboutique #westernrawhide
