It's Animal Health Week!!! (Oct 4-10) The CVMA has celebrated Animal Health Week with veterinary teams nationwide for 35 years! This year’s Animal Health Week theme is: Understanding Zoonotic Diseases: Community Health Animals and You. Regular veterinary wellness checks and a deworming program can help protect you, your family, and your pet from zoonotic diseases. We are offering 10% off exam fees this month in support of Animal Health Week!

Good morning Snowden Family! We are asking if anyone has spotted or found this missing kitty to let us know, or give his owner Alysha a call at 604-537-6958. The cat's name is Ziggy, he is an intact male, 6 months old. He went missing October 27th from 66A Ave between 148 and 150th streets in Surrey. ... He has unusual and distinctive symmetrical striped markings on his back, white socks (with black dot on the underside of each back ankle) tabby markings on head, legs and fluffy tail, and a spotted belly. He is large for his age, unfortunately he is not chipped or tattooed yet (was going to have this done when he was neutered). Last seen wearing his little black collar with gold half moons on it.

UPDATE: The cat has been identified by his owners, his name was Tigger Thank you for all your shares. Hi Snowden Family! We unfortunately found a deceased cat today on 64th, right before the intersection of 168th and 64th. We have contacted SARC and they have asked us to hold onto the cat and send them photos so they can make a post. We also wanted to post here as well. We scanned the cat and no microchip was present, sadly we couldn't identify a sex as the cat was not in good condition. There was no tattoo present in either ear from what we could see. The coat was white and orange, and the fur seemed to be medium/long haired. If you are missing a cat and this sounds like it could be yours please feel free to private message us. Please share this if you can!

Please be aware of high temperature risks to your beloved pets! This weather is beautiful but we are noticing a lot of heat stroke patients right now. Try doing daily walks early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid peak temperatures.

Hey everyone! We had some lovely people take in a stray cat recently and we are wondering if anyone may know if this cat belongs to someone! She doesn't have a tattoo or a microchip. If you recognize her please send us a message! She seems to be around 1-2 years old and is super loving and personable.

Did you know we don't just see cats and dogs? We love rabbits, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets and all the other pocket pets you could imagine! This little guy is Mariah's, one of our vet assistants, pet hamster Juno! Wellness exams are just as important for our little guys as they are for cats and dogs. There is so much to learn about pocket pet care as well! Juno gets fresh veggies like the kale in this photo in addition to his standard seed mix. If you have any questions or want to book a wellness exam for your pocket pet give us a call at 604-579-0986!
