Creative Bathroom Beauty I had an in home consultation where the homeowner claimed to have Saskatoon's ugliest shower. It had solid , 3/4 inch thick walls in a neo angle shape with a shower curtain hung on a plate of rusty steel. The wall surround appeared like it may be a flooring material and was contoured around a 2x4 on top of the basement pony wall in one piece. I have no idea how the surround did not crack or stayed adhered to that 2x4. Judging by the rigidness of the t...hin neo angle walls they must have been cemented into the basement floor. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I imagined whomever built this unique shower must have been similar in character to my ex's late father. Fred was never stuck, he always made due with what he had at hand to get the job done. The result was often unpolished but it worked and the "out of the box" creative thinking involved had a richness ,beauty and humour of it's own. Bathrooms are a room of function first, and fashion second. I have a huge appreciation for other's creative endeavours so I have found some pictures to share to honour those with the "Macgyver" type spirit while making their bathroom work.
