Sights at Songbird... TODAY! We had what we think is a Juvenile Bald Eagle just outside our Songbird entrance in the trees this morning!! I was able to snap a few pictures, but it was fairly hidden behind some branches and then it flew away... Then, a Songbird client arrived for her appointment at 10am and I was telling her that "this morning we had a Juvenile Bald Eagle in that tree right there just before you arrived!". She was leaning back in the Reflexology chair, r...eady for her treatment to begin, and she said, "You mean that one right there?" and pointed at the same tree with the same bird in it - low and behold, it had landed again while I was talking LOL!!! And a very brave Blue Jay landed right beside it. If there are any bird experts out there - can you help me confirm this is a Bald Eagle and not a Golden Eagle? His gold feet were easy to spot, but I couldn't make out if his golden ankles were showing or if they were feathered. I believe Golden Eagles aren't usually this far East and juvenile Bald Eagles have some dappled white feathers throughout as they are maturing. After the treatment ended, this client also spotted several Eastern Bluebirds flying near their birdhouses too! It's a regular bird festival over here!
