I hope everyone had a lovely day. We did, it was perfect. Starting tmrw Mike & I will be taking the upcoming week off. Due to the forced closure we will be losing Boxing Day, and this sucks. I’m not sugarcoating it...IT SUCKS Small businesses and entrepreneurs have been going at a pace (since the first closure) that cannot be maintained. We are tired. Everyone is tired. So we have decided the best thing for us and our family is to take this time to rest and recoup/re...group. So for the first time in 20 years we are taking the upcoming week off. You’ve changed. Well I hope so. I hope I’ve changed over the years. Grown as a person. I’m working on being more empathetic. Looking from the other person’s perspective. Asking WHY would they say/act that way. Not taking it personally. Knowing it’s usually about that person and what they may be dealing with.... Practicing kindness. I’ve always done with but I’m trying to spread more. Like not flipping off the guy who cuts me off I’m working on taking a breathe first before I speak. Not speaking over someone. Nodding, if I disagree, if it’s not worth the argument...unless we are having a discussion I still love a good debate. I don’t think I’ll ever master being calm or patient. But yes, I’ve changed. My tattoo from when I lived in Whistle, which I got at 19, which represented travel and strength (and was kinda shitty) didn’t feel like me anymore So it was time for a change. And the orca was slowing turning into a humpback whale over time. I had the pleasure of working with the talent @shawzykillshawzy . He created this beautiful lady head for me, to hide the old piece. I remember saying I was nervous, to which he kindly replied it won’t hurt that much. It which I laughed and said I gave brith to twins I’m not concerned about pain, I’m stressed about lying here for 4 hours not doing anything. So I listened to a marketing book I wanted a piece that represented my desire to empower women, to uplift, to encourage strength. I requested her eyes be looking straight forward, always at what is ahead of her. The three roses represent my children. And the lion pendant that represented my dad, and the necklace he wore. The strength he had, and instilled in me. I love it, and I wonder what other tattoo I’ll get that represents another change in my life. See more
