This Thursday Yoga Chat takes us on a virtual field trip with Carol Davis as she talks about Fascia, Interoceptive Awareness and Self Care; A Pandemic and Holiday Imperative. Carol is a brilliant speaker, a Professor in the department of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and author, editor of numerous manuscripts and books. She is a warm and engaging presenter and just the person to bring some peace into the season. Wednesday 6:30 pm MST Rachel Tudor from Tumwater Washington joins us online for Hands and Feet: Pathways Through the Body. In this interdisciplinary class, we will explore awareness through the feet and the hands, the hands often being overlooked in movement classes as one of the ways we interact most with the world around us. Thoughts are your own and provide insight that inspires movement, creates choice and supports spiritual growth. We created ourselves and continue to do so as we evolve. When did you stop creating yourself? If movement is inhibited from within, then who or what are we listening to from without and where is it leading us? Is our meditation practice taking away the ability to ask the difficult questions, and the equally important, the ability to listen to the answer regardles...s of how uncomfortable that might be. Are we looking for the happiness that will remove all suffering and produce "good vibes only"? At what cost? Feelings that arise from those thoughts of discomfort are insightful and an lead us away from what no longer serves us. Thoughts always have purpose and we have the choice of thoughts we engage in for guidance, because they are useful, and we have the insight to move from them when they have served us and are useful no more. Thoughts are representations of matter and are encoded in matter. Thoughts are energy and create movement. Thought is an investment that can only be determined by your self.
