Hi there, beautiful people! I’m happy to let you all know that with the updated COVID-19 restrictions for BC, Acupuncturists are still allowed to practice & su...pport you during this tumultuous time. Right now it is very important to manage the stress accumulating in our bodies. I know things feel overwhelming and exhausting right now so be gentle with your expectations for yourself, be kind to your mind and let your body rest when it tells you it needs it. The easiest way to navigate things right now is: ~Take things 1 step at a time~ You don’t need to have all the answers, all the self care, all the healings, a perfect diet etc; start by implementing ONE thing everyday that makes you feel good. Here are a few ways to do that: Dance! - choose a banger and let it all out! Dance wildly, freely and express your emotions through movement. Deep, slow and mindful stretching every evening before you get into bed. Stretch until you feel the warmth of circulation. Hot baths! Let your muscles release. When the body is tense = the mind is chaotic. When the body is relaxed = the mind is calm. Add essential oils (like lavender) or flower petals. Walk in Nature, to the beach or through the forest or even a park. Take deep, slow mindful breath’s and with each step imagine roots coming out from the bottoms of your feet - that wrap around the earths core, grounding you. Don’t skip meals. If stress/anxiety is making you too nauseous to want to eat try Ginger Tea before mealtime to stimulate your appetite. Acupuncture, Reiki, Cupping, Bodywork and Sound medicine are strong natural stress-relievers and can be powerful allies during this time. Ps.
