Bishop Susan Bell has appointed Jeff Ward, rector of St. Cuthbert’s in Oakville, to serve as Archdeacon of Trafalgar. I am delighted that Jeff has accepted th...is responsibility to share in the exercise of my episcopal ministry, said Bishop Bell. He has always been an immense support to me, personally, and to my ministry, and I look forward to having him as part of our diocesan leadership team. In addition to providing support and wise counsel to the bishop, regional archdeacons have a particular responsibility for church buildings, the well-being of clergy and their families, and the implementation of diocesan policy. They also serve as members of synod council. Due to pandemic restrictions, plans for a service of collation have not yet been finalized.

The first classes of the two pilot courses of Niagara School of Missional Leadership take place today! Over the next six weeks, Bishop Susan Bell will be leadi...ng a course focused on missional preaching, while Dr. John Bowen will offer an introductory course on mission. One of the key elements of our diocesan Mission Action Plan (MAP) is the creation of this school as an expression of the MAP’s objective to create and implement opportunities to ignite and strengthen faith.
