Welcome to our *NEW* Senior Dance Fit virtual program every Tuesday @10:30am for 45 mins! Get ready to exercise for 45 minutes where you will be working on gentle cardio, simple weight exercises, floor stretches, and core work. Everything can be modified to your ability and don't worry you can keep your camera switched off for comfort. This is a mix of dancing, stretch, strength, and mindfulness. Welcome to our Kids Yoga & Mindfulness virtual program on Friday's @4pm for 1 hour. Let's finish our week by taking the time to stretch out our bodies with fun and challenging yoga poses like Tree Pose, Downward Dog & Toppling Tree. Kids today more than ever need some time to reflect upon their week and to check in with how they are doing. At the end of every class we will do a guided meditation, one week we might journey to the sandy beaches or fly in the sky with the birds. HAPPY NEW YEAR! From our team at SCDC, including Christine, Rachel, Deanna, Emilie & Liisa we all thank you for doing your best this year. What a challenge it has been and we MADE IT! We should all be proud of how far we've come with all the lessons learned, obstacles presented, societal changes, and our whole lives altered. SCDC is very excited to have new Hip Hop Teacher Emilie Kirchgesner on board our team!! She will be teaching Kids Hip Hop & our Hype Dance Crew on Thursday’s. Welcome to the TEAM! Read more about Emilie below Emilie Kirchgesner is thrilled to join the staff as a hip hop teacher for the St. Clair Dance Collective. Emilie has been dancing, singing, and acting since the age of 3. She grew up dancing competitively in... every style, and trained in several musical theatre intensives in New York and Los Angeles. She has been fortunate to train under numerous Broadway actors and choreographers. Emilie’s passion for hip hop and urban style has landed her several roles in music videos, acting commercials, guest workshops, fashion shoots, and an agency signing. Emilie continues to push the boundaries of her choreography, and at 20 years old, sees endless possibilities for her dance and performance.
