Lisa has just started with the team here as our newest intern! Lisa completed her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. She is currently completing her Master of Counselling Psychology from City University in Canada. Lisa has worked with both youth and adults in the field of sexuality education. She has been a high school teacher in the public school system in Vancouver for many years. In addition, Lisa has worked with children, ...youth and adults with diverse learning needs. We are pleased to introduce our newest Associate, Sheri Johnson, MSW, RSW, who will be joining our team in March. She is a Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) Practitioner, and has completed over 150 hours of intensive classroom training, with ongoing mentorship through the Institute of RRT in Florida. Sheri has done research on PTSD, vicarious trauma, and has worked in various trauma settings including emergency rooms, trauma wards, critical care, and police victim services. ...She has a wide range of experience with women, men, youth, indigenous people, older adults, children on the autism spectrum, and marginalized populations. Sheri is passionate about providing effective therapy, and also has a deep interest in trauma. She is a registered service provide for the First Nations Health Authority as well as ICBC. Sheri offers a non-judgemental space where you will be heard and lifted up. She empowers your existing strengths, highlighting how the mind processes information as one moves through their day to day environment. To reach your goals, she uses a holistic, humanistic and anti-oppressive approach tailored specifically to your needs, which can include mindfulness, mind-body work, multi-level effect-driven communication and a neuroscience-based approach.

Teah Scotten, RCC, recently completed the Level I EMDR Training and is accepting new clients. Teah has been in the helping profession since 2014 working with Family Services of Greater Victoria as a Group Counselling Facilitator. She also worked at Westland Academy of Clinical Sex Therapy and has been counselling with Stewart & Associates since 2017. Teah's counselling services are covered by most extended health benefits plans and she is also a registered service provider to a few EAPs and government programs including: ICBC, Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), Arete Human Resources and e4Health.

We are pleased to introduce our newest Associate, Richard Marquez, MSW, RSW, MPH. Richard is a seasoned counselling specialist who has extensive specialized training including EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy in Trauma. He has been in the helping profession for over 20 years as a mental health, social work and public health practitioner. Richard has extensive experience working with a wide variety of clients including individuals, couples and families from various ethnic and economic backgrounds.
