The Lions Club bottle drive for Childhood Cancer in support of Ronald McDonald House has been CANCELLED for January 23. NOTE - the next round of bottle drives will begin on FEBRUARY 20th. Thanks to everyone for supporting us with our bottle drives so we can help our community!

The 2nd prize winner in the Stittsville Lions contest for decorated homes is the Vezina family who were all decked out in their Christmas attire. Jeremy (love the jacket!), Pam and Owen were present for their prize presentation from Lion Lark. To visit their coloured snowballs and much more, drive over to 11 Elderwood Trail. Congratulations and thanks for entering our first decorated homes contest! 2nd prize was a $50 gift card for #Napoli's on Stittsville Main Street.

The 1st prize winner of the home decorating contest is the Thomas family - Corey, Lesley and Cadence were present for the prize presentation from Lion Lark. Christmas Spirit shines in Stittsville during pandemic - John Curry and Sandy Durocher captured the moments from businesses, schools, organizations and decorated homes. Lions members extend sincere thanks to Wellings of Stittsville and the Nautical Lands Group for partnering with the Stittsville District Lions Club to raised needed funds for the Lions Foundation of Canada for Guide Dogs. Special thanks to Wellings resident Patricia Struble who made this happen. In a 6-month period, $2,006 was raised from the weekly collection of bottles from Wellings. At a presentation held on December 16, 2020, Darcy MacLennan, General Manager of Wellings of Stittsville matched this amount with another $2,000 bringing the total to $4,006 being raised for the Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs. 2021 Guide Dog calendars were presented to Wellings and another resident, Luigi, who donated to us personally at the ceremony. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The Stittsville District Lions members want to thank #Stittsville residents and businesses for your support of our 2020 Annual Fundraising Campaign. Donations are still being gratefully accepted. On December 11, we provided 175 families with a Merry Christmas donation of 175 gift cards to the #stittsvillefoodbank from the generous funds raised so far! Your donations will certainly bring cheer to the families and YOU made this happen! We THANK YOU!
