The hospitality industry is one giant family. They don't work at bars or restaurants because they do it for a paycheck but because they love what they do. They love the environment. They love the guests and it's not uncommon for servers, bartenders, security, managers, kitchen staff to befriend their patrons and build lifelong friendships out of it. The hospitality industry look out for one another . On their days off you'll likely find these lovely folks hanging out either... at their establishment or another one. They're the biggest tippers. They stack their plates and tidy their tables for their servers/bartenders on their off nights . It's not uncommon for off duty hospitality staff to help bus tables, take the garbage out, help a stranger who is intoxicated or not feeling well. They don't have to do any of that but it's in their DNA to serve even on their nights off. They can't help it! These are wonderful people who have big hearts. With these new restrictions, please if you are in a position to do so, be a little more generous with your tips! Go out for a lunch or dinner every now and then if you feel safe to do so! Help the industry. I guarantee you they will buy you a few beers and pay it forward when this blows over The hospitality industry won't take this for granted.
