A HEARTFELT THANK YOU On behalf of the Club and the 31 Families with 72 children we were able to support this year we would like to send out a very warm & heartfelt thank you to all of the local businesses and residents that contributed to the success of the Giving Tree this year. Always remember that when we do things together we can make such an amazing impact. A couple of the parent recipients also wanted to say thank you .... their comments are here printed with per...mission. Parent #1 I felt so many emotions when I opened the envelope. I cried because this is way more than I ever dreamed. Thanks to you, the Lions Club and all the the amazing people who donated. Now our Christmas will be brighter. From the bottom of my heart thank you and God bless you all. Merry Christmas Parent #2 Thank you doesn't even seem like an adequate word to use in this circumstance but since I can't think of another word to use that can sum up my gratitude, so it's what I have to use. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the generosity shown toward my family. I was in tears last night that an organization cares so much about children they don't even know that they are willing, no questions asked to help a family provide a Christmas for their children. I hope and pray one day soon I can extend the same generosity to a family. Please extend my message to all the people who make this possible. May you all have a wonderful Christmas. God bless you all. You have blessed my family more than you will ever know. #MerryChristmasStouffville #StouffvilleCommunity #ItTakesAVillage #TheMiracleOfChristmas #generoushearts #StouffvilleLions #GivingTree #

It was a week ago I called Dave Robitaille of Stouffville HONDA late in the afternoon asking for muscle for early the next morning and AGAIN he came through! I explained we had 400 trees coming in the morning and Dave sent over a couple of his "MUSCLE" to help our Lions unload .... Last year Dave volunteered his showroom for the Stouffville Drop for #CoatsForKids ... this year the club decided not to hold the drop due to COVID but I hope we can count on Dave and #StouffvilleHonda to help us collect for next year. Thank you again Dave for being a great supporter of our many many asks! Merry Christmas #StouffvilleHonda #DaveRobitailleIsALioninDisguise #Community #stouffvillelions #stouffville

Thank you Stouffville! ****MORE PHOTOS ADDED**** The Trees of Hope give away has been an absolutely incredible experience, speaking with so many residents who were excited and looking forward to planting the seedlings with their families, Thank you to residents for responding so quickly and keeping your pickup appointment times; while keeping social distancing & everyone safe. Thank you to those that have made donations to the support of club’s future activities. Thank ...you to the residents & parents who have and continue to share with us pictures of their plantings and the precious smiles of their children. Lion Kelly & Lion Cap offered their driveways as pickup locations for the distribution of some 1,000 seedlings. Both of them shared heat warming stories that residents and parents shared with them. We were all very grateful for the opportunity to share such a family and environmentally friendly initiative; especially during such a challenging time. Please remember if you haven’t planted your seedlings yet; keep the roots moist and keep in a cool and dark location - an unheated garage would be best! Stay safe everyone and share your pictures please! Stouffville Lions Club #Environmental #TreesOfHope #family #FamilyPlanting #Seedlings #StouffvilleLions #StouffvilleLionsEnvironmentProject

Stouffville Lions Club GIVE AWAY 1000 TREES OF HOPE Hello everyone, hope you are all staying safe!... We know how difficult it has been with the self isolation and its been a long time since we have been able to get out and do a community cleanup together So your Stouffville Lions have purchased 1,000 seedlings to give away to the residents of Whitchurch Stouffville. These seedlings are to be planted in your front or back yards; as long as they are on your own private property. We have 3 different species available for selection: White Pine, White Spruce and White Cedar. Please do some research to decide which species would be best for you and let us know. We have them bundled in 5’s 10’s and 25’s. If 5 is too many, perhaps you can share with a neighbour? They are all approx 12" seedlings! Please pm us and we will provide you with instructions of how you can pick them up. Don’t worry, we have already figured out the social distancing! We will share all of the details; you just need to let us know how many of what species you are wanting to plant in your yard for HOPE! All we ask in return is to have you post pictures of the planted tree(s) with you and your family around the tree(s) Thank you and stay safe Stouffville Lions Club April 2020
