Happy Family Day from your friends at Sudbury Trail Plan! Stay safe, have fun and remember to check the ITG before you head out! https://ofsc.evtrails.com/ #gosnowmobilingontario

Sudbury Trail Plan 22.02.2021

Something from our friends Broder Dill Snowmobilers Association - BDSA! Please support this decision as the Municipality of Killarney is a long standing supporter and partner of snowmobiling!

Sudbury Trail Plan 07.02.2021

Individuals from Southern Ontario Fined Under the EMCPA and TPA Yesterday morning, Monday, February 8, 2021, we received a call from the Sudbury Trail Plan (S.T....P.) in relation to a vehicle being driven on one of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club (O.F.S.C.) trails. Information provided was that a trail groomer had seen a vehicle driving on the C trail North of Capreol and that the vehicle was stuck. A member of our Rural Community Response Unit and a Game Warden with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (M.N.R.F.) conducted a patrol in the indicated area in order to locate the vehicle. As a result of this patrol, the vehicle was located and the two occupants of the vehicle were found to be from different households in Aurora. The two individuals indicated that they were in our jurisdiction camping and hunting rabbits. A loaded firearm was also located in the vehicle. Our Officer and the Game Warden issued fines under the Trespass to Property Act for driving the vehicle on an OFSC Trail ($65), under the Emergency Management and Civil Protections Act Stay-at-Home Order for failing to comply with an order ($880) and under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act for having a loaded firearm in the vehicle ($615). The individuals were directed to pack up their belongings and to return home as per the provincial Stay-at-Home Order. The GSPS, MNRF, and STP would like to remind community members that driving a motor vehicle on a prescribed snowmobile trail is an offence under the Trespass to Property Act. These trails are maintained by the respective snowmobile clubs and are for snowmobile use only. With few exceptions, a valid O.F.S.C. Trail Pass must be affixed to your snowmobile when riding on the trails. Don't miss your last chance for savings, permit fees go up TOMORROW, December 1st..https://permits.ofsc.on.ca/ This is an updated post from October with... the new Pre December 1 fees. --- Based on your previous responses about how many KM you ride per season, we did some quick math and the average KMs per season is 4924.74km (if you provided a range, we picked the middle number to keep it realistic). So, when it comes to the monies you spend on your permit (especially, if you take advantage of the pre December 1 fees), your investment works out to an average cost of less than 9 cents per KM riddensounds like a pretty good deal to us! Even if you only ride 200KM, it’s only $1.14 per KM. Seem to good to be true? We compared this against the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA) snowmobiling statistics that states ‘the average snowmobiler rides their snowmobile 1,111 miles / 1,788 km per year in North America.’ (http://www.snowmobile.org/snowmobiling-statistics-and-facts) Going off this number, the average per KM cost works out to about 13 cents. PS we included the $7.50 processing fee in these calculations too! PERMIT. TRAIL IT. LIVE IT. See more

Latest News from the OFSC: https://www.ofsc.on.ca//22/flex-trails-pandemic-developme/ Over the last few weeks, many of you have been asking for the details of... the plan & based on recent developments, this week's release provides you with just that! As a reminder, Trails To Ride 2021 is a comprehensive plan built to enable our entire organization to respond in a timely manner as the Pandemic situation evolves while providing as many trails to ride as possible this winter. Lots of great work is happening across the province to prepare for responding to these possible in-season changes. Like you, we also hope they don't need to be implemented but recognize that the Pandemic and imposed protocols and regulations are not within our control. Stay safe everyone and let's all do our part to get past this together! #flextrails #trailstoride2021 PERMIT. TRAIL IT. LIVE IT. See more

Nothing like a little 'big offer' to spark today's question of the day.....first step is to opt in for OFSC Communications on your permit account - this gives u...s permission to send you the newsletter! (You can always change this preference ay time when you log in to your permit account) Did that and still not getting them? - add [email protected] to your safe senders list (may as well add [email protected] at the same time) - if you've ever marked us as SPAM or Unsubscribed from the email, your email address will be flagged and prevent our emails from getting to your inbox - we issue an email every Thursday evening (between 7pm and 9pm), have you been getting them? If not, have you checked your JUNK/SPAM/CLUTTER/OTHER folder? Unfortunately if you delete our emails from these folders, we will be flagged as spam and you won't receive anymore to that email address. ------ We're doing our best to keep the lines of communication open and last week's offer was just one example of an email you don't want to miss. We had close to 1000 folks update their contact preferences over the weekend and did issue one final email yesterday afternoon - but there are no additional codes to send at this time. ------- Have a great day.
