Sunset Park Remembers...

The Near North District School Board and the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P) are joining forces to provide parents and students with resources for next week's annual Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week. Today, Dr. Mike Bechthold spoke virtually to Mme Pearson’s Grade 6 French Immersion class. Dr. Bechthold specializes in the fields of military air power (especially tactical air operations in the First and Second World Wars), the Canadian army in Normandy and Northwest Europe, and the Canadian Corps in the Great War. Our Grade 6 French Immersion class learned about the WWII Air War and they were given a virtual tour of one of two RCAF Lancaster Bombers that still fly today in advance of Remembrance Day on Wednesday. Thank you Dr. Bechthold for such a great learning experience!
