As Nature Does A Prayer of Solidarity How is it that the Sun still shines and that the Stars still sprinkle stardust upon our hearts? How is the Trees still reach for the Sky and that the Wind still flows through our Being How is it that the Ocean still utters its majesty onto our shores and that the Earth shimmers with new life?... May we remember the expanse and the firmament within us. May we radiate the Fire of the Sun and shine sparkles of trust into each other’s hearts. May we Breathe with the Wind. May we offer the thoughts that torque our souls to the mighty, salty Sea. And in this Moment, may we remember the Imperishable Spirit within us As Nature does. See more

On my way home from grocery shopping today- what is usually a simple, often overlooked and mundane task became a portal into a deep sense of awe. Each in their own way, every worker I thanked said " We are all doing what we must do." The words of the great poet Mary Oliver came alive: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it. So I will- tell about it. I pay attention and I am astonished by the first tender buds peering up at us after a long journey through dark crevices- g...uided by the life force that pushes them up past the edge of the only world the seed has ever known. I pay attention and I am astonished that the cardinal insisted on singing to me all the way home and that a large bird I cannot even identify, one with magnificent wings, reminded me that the sky is a dance floor. And dance it did! I pay attention and I am astonished that we are taking up the call to be light bearers for one another. We may be driven physically away from each other, but this cannot touch the fact that we are not alone. I pay attention and I am astonished that now I see with new eyes how my mom's prayers lift the world up every day. I pay attention and I am astonished that while we are experiencing the dark core of a storm, we are finding ways to banish the constriction of apathy and leaning into the expansive heart of our shared humanity. I pay attention. I am astonished. May you be safe , may you be well, may you be protected. See more
