I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!!! We have had some people asking how we came up with our name "The Fat Panda Grill". So I thought I would post the story for everyone to read. About 4 years ago I seen a post on facebook about a company called Bamboo. It was for people over 50 yrs old to take on a new experience donating their time and money to support an elephant sanctuary in Thailand and a building project in Cambodia. Anyone that knows my husband knows how much ...he likes elephants and the chance to go to Thailand to work with them was a dream come true so when I mentioned it to him he was all in. We travelled to Thailand and Cambodia February 2019. It was the most rewarding thing we have ever done and met the most amazing people. In Cambodia there was a non profit cafe called "Fat Panda". It was ran on mostly donations. It has since closed. We wanted our business to have a piece of our heart in it and that is where the name comes from. We have raised money for a water project for a village in Thailand to get the water from the mountain to the village for the dry season. The pipes have now been put into place in the spring of this year and have water for the villagers and farm. Our next project is getting a house built for our friend John in Chiang Mai Thailand. We were to go in March 2021 but with Covid it has been delayed to the new date of November 2021. We have already raised some money for the build but we will be hopefully having some events at the food truck to help raise awareness and donations for the build. If anyone is interested in the trip that we did check out "We are Bamboo". You won't regret it.. It changed our lives forever. See more

Today is our last day!!! We would like to thank everyone that has made these three weekends amazing and so busy. We are starting to get in our groove. We can’t wait till we are open fulll time in April 2021. We will be open today from 11:30 am till we run out of potatoes!! Sorry ahead of time if we run out of any of your favourite items. Special shout out to all of my family, friends, coworkers, people of St.marys and all of the people that travelled from afar just to try our fries. We appreciate all of you. We would like to thank everyone who came out this last two days to eat at our new fry truck. Thanks so much for being patient with us and the long lines everything is new to us still lots of learning curves. Due to the high volume of business in the last 2 days we have ran out of most supplies that have to be cooked and prepared by us (we thought we were well stocked and prepared ) and as such we are unable to open tomorrow. It is with great excitement that I announce our new venture. We have bought a food truck!!!! I am very excited to begin testing foods for our menu. We will be opening April 2021.
