The Lunch Bag’s Pies

Here’s a recipe for an amazing chocolate sauce. I always like to have some on hand - you never know what it’s going to end up on. Oh, and it keeps in the fridge for ages! For those who ordered Mocha Mud Pie or the White Chocolate Peppermint Pie- you’ll want to make this sauce for them. DELUXE CHOCOLATE SAUCE 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips... 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 Tbs instant coffee 1/8 tsp salt 1 Tbs vanilla 2 cups icing sugar 1 cup light corn syrup 1 cup hot water Measure first 5 ingreds into a saucepan. Heat and stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from heat and beat in icing sugar, syrup and water until smooth. Pour into mason jars or other container that has a lid and refrigerate. Makes 5 cups. Enjoy! I wanted to add that the sauce will harden in the fridge so scoop out what you need and warm before serving.
