Rumble Academy students, have a great New Year's Eve celebration but remember to stay safe and call a cab/uber if you've been drinking. See you all Tuesday night for our first class of 2018, where we're going to start a complete curriculum review as we have a group ready for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd stripes on their white belts. If you have any friends that made a fitness goal one of their resolutions and they have any interest in trying a martial art, let them know we're always looking for new people to train with.

Had a fun class tonight, reviewed a series of attacks from the rear mount with seat belt control: -basic position seat belt control (Gable grip, hidden grip) -RNC modern variant and old school -Kata ha jime (single wing choke)... -Kata ha jime to triangle choke -Kata ha jime to bow and arrow choke -Kata ha jime to arm bar Will review all next Tuesday and add on some new stuff Mestre brought down this summer.

ALL COMBAT INC is excited to announce it's next event at Iron Monkey MMA & Fitness Club on Sunday, November 27th! This event will be a club event for Grappling and Sport AMMA. We will also be having kids Kickboxing demos during the kids grappling. Kids Gi Grappling... Weigh ins 10am. Start time 11Am. Adults Grappling and Sport AMMA Weigh ins Noon. Start time 1pm . RUMBLE ACADEMY STUDENTS: For tomorrow's seminar/grading, we'd like to start a bit early because it's likely going to be longer than a regular class. Alright team, it's official: Mestre Marcus Soares will be visiting the club for a seminar and grading on Thursday Sept 22, 2016 during the regular class time. This is our regular no-gi night, but kimonos will be mandatory. All belts will need a black tip, so if you don't have one please see me before or after class. Your stripes need to replaced if any have fallen off (Josh, Neil). The cost for this seminar will be posted at the club. My expectation is that you will all attend and put yourself up for grading consideration. Get ready team!

I was sent this pic last night as an update to Denis's status. There was a chance he might have been able to come in this weekend if he had clearance form his doctor to fly....but this is what his elbow looks like as of yesterday. Right now we're playing this week by week, but it won't be this weekend or the next. Stay tuned, it will happen as soon as Denis is able to fly again. The Rumble Academy's photo.

Rumble Academy students, for the event in Fort Erie on January 30, 2016, Andy Stretch Porter has received 50 tickets for those competing to sell to attendees. Do a little self promotion and pre-sell these tickets to any friends and family that will be attending to support you and your team mates; it will help make this a successful event.

Holiday schedule: Due to the way the holidays worked out this year, we'll only be skipping two classes: Dec 24, 2015 and Dec 31, 2015. Class is on as usual Dec 22 and 29th, I hope to see you all there.

As of yesterday, The Rumble Academy is registered as a club with the OGA (http://www.grapplingontario.com/). If you haven't registered yourself with the OGA, please do so sometime in the next month or so - the fee is $35 for a year (starting from the date you register and continuing for 365 days, not the calendar year). When you register, add "The Rumble Academy" as your team name - this is for lineage, results, and allows me some team management tools via the web portal. I will make a decision regarding WKF membership for 2016 in the next month.

From Andy Stretch Porter: On Jan 9th Big Country MMA in Lindsay Ont is having an open house to show case their club and looking for competitors. Looking for Boxing, kick boxing and BJJ (gi and nogi matches). A few of us will be going up to support this event as The Big Country team is always willing to help fill any card they can all across Ontario. All belts, all weight classes, all skill sets welcome.
