If you've never experienced hypervigilence as normal, you have no idea how painful it is to have complex trauma. The smallest and randomnest things can be perc...eived as threats and they cause ringing in the ears, tightness in the chest, hotness in the face and a complete loss of control in your ability to contain your emotions... When fight, flight, freeze are your only options... That's trauma and it lingers. You don't know what people are facing... Try kindness when you can.
