Send your men to Gladstone Brewing Co. tomorrow night! Dr. Tracy Rodgers will be speaking about female hormones and changes over time. This talk is tailored to men, but women are also welcome. If you know Tracy, you know there's a good chance there will be laughter involved.
We have moved! We are delighted to join the lovely community of "Tin Town". The Women's Clinic will be reopening soon in our new location at 103-2456 Rosewall Cres. in Courtenay.
I have decided that it is time to move forward with doing some writing / blogging / presenting to increase awareness and knowledge about all things midlife and menopause. I am looking for your stories. I have set up an email account [email protected] and welcome your insights, personal stories and anecdotes about midlife and menopause. What are your thoughts on what is needed for information and education? What would you like to see in an accessible book about midlife? ...I will keep your stories confidential. No one else has access to this email account. I hope to compile snippets and stories in my menopause blog and/or hopefully one day in my book. I am grateful for the women in my practice and in my life who graciously tell me their stories. I am continually learning from your wisdom and your experiences. Together we can change the landscape when it comes to midlife and start to break down stereotypes with knowledge and collective power. #timesup #metoo It's time for women to take a stand. Comox Valley Women's Health Symposium is coming soon! "Bringing together women of the Comox Valley with the health care practitioners who help them stay healthy and happy."
We have been fortunate to have Dr. McCallum on our team for the past two years, and we are sorry to see her go. Her last day in the Women's Clinic will be December 12th, which means our self-referral clinic will be closed as of that date. We will be looking to find a female GP to join us soon so we can continue to offer a self-referral service, and will update our information accordingly when this happens.

This is such an important topic. New moms and dads need love and support, not judgement. FED is BEST http://www.vincentfung.ca/blog/archives/5187
Until I find the time to take an updated picture of the clinic, here is a photo of my girls taken this summer in Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland. I went home to reconnect with my family and my roots. My bucket is full...
