We are very excited to announce Theatre Nova Scotia’s latest project: our #ForTheLoveOfTheatreNS Video Series! Keep your eyes peeled because the first video is being released TOMORROW! It goes without saying that 2020 was a challenging year for theatres across the province, and community theatres are no exception. So, while their doors were closed to the public, our community theatres told us their story, introduced their talented volunteers and staff members, and shared ...their love of theatre with us. Over the next few months, we will be releasing short videos about our community theatre members online and collecting donations on their behalf. Once all our videos have been released, we will evenly distribute the donations between the community theatres, so that all our community theatre members get a little boost during this difficult time. Want to get involved with this project? Here's how to help! - Share, like and comment on our videos and posts. Doing this will help our videos be seen by more people and also help drive some donations! As a bonus, we will also be offering a bunch of $25 vouchers to people who engage with our posts! Each time we release a video about one of our members, we will offer a voucher for one lucky person to see a show at that community theatre (when they safely reopen). The instructions for how to enter the contests will be included in each video's post. - Let us know why you love community theatre! Make your own post on social media and use the hashtag #ForTheLoveOfTheatreNS. Let's spread some community theatre joy! - And finally, if you are motivated and able to contribute, please support community theatre in Nova Scotia with a donation. Visit this page (https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/59238) and know that your donation is helping support community theatres through to the other side of the pandemic. #TheatreNS #communitytheatre #NSTheatre #novascotia
