But reaching out to 'connect' with a person and not doing anything further is certainly a missed opportunity to leverage your network, add value, build the relationship and potentially create opportunities. So, what's the best approach to making the most of the people you connect with on LinkedIn? Follow-up with all new connections and send them a short note.... Tailor this message and share why you wanted to connect with them. Briefly tell the new connection about yourself - the key here is sharing information that's relevant to the person and what they do.
