Victoria from Tree Pose Yoga who is hosting our Meditation and Mindfulness sessions gave us this practice last night. There is one more session left, so let us know if you are interested in attending, or if you have any questions. It is called 5 Down. 5 things you can see... 4 things you can hear 3 things you can taste 2 things you can smell 1 deep breath (or one thing you can feel if deep breathing causes anxiety) Victoria suggests doing this practice daily, when things are going well. Then when one is in a moment of stress this practice is something you can use in the moment and it won't feel out of place. http://Www.treepose.online/

Parenting typically-developing children is a tough task; parenting children with developmental disabilities takes an additional toll on parents’ physical and mental health and wellbeing. Contemporary 21st century ideas about health and disability are changing the way we think, act, and talk about childhood disability. These ideas have been ‘packaged’ into a program of 5 interactive workshops for parents whose children have recently been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental condition. https://canchild.ca//enabling-vision-and-growing-expectati
