Throughout the summer, we discovered how COVID-19 can disrupt not just our lives, but also how we work with the children. Unfortunately this also meant closing down a week early to pack, clean, and sanitize before the school year. Props to the team for their hard work despite the challenging times. They’ve been sanitizing twice daily on top of their regular duties and following through with our COVID guidelines and procedures. We will not be running our winter camp this year... and will make a decision on 2021 Spring Break came in a few months. This year, without field trips, we had to very creative in filling our day camp schedule with meaningful activities. For example, we added a computer lab component and a multi-day craft project (via @toofunni.co ). But in the end, what matters most is relationship and the importance of social development. It hasn’t been easy with COVID-19, but it doesn’t mean we don’t try. Here are our highlights for week 5!

They had to sit through the entire lesson and then some with the bowl of chips in front of them. They can eat them or wait until the very end and earn a "bonus." They all did very well.
