In the near future, Orangeville will have new Cannabis locations. Some of these locations are open already, the remainder could be ready for customers in the near future. There was a long line up for Satica this past week.I was not in it..but I do wish the business and its customers well. ... I have received concerns about parking on Edenwood Crescent/Credit Creek area. Are people concerned about tight streets in this area due to parking on both sides of the street? Narrow pathway for cars/emergency vehicles? Any thoughts or comments are welcome.... Please share this with anyone you might know who live in the area. Todd.

Some tips from the OPP to ensure you don't fall victim to "porch pirates" : Track deliveries online and try to be home at the time a package is delivered; If possible, request deliveries services to get a signature from a recipient; When scheduling a delivery, leave instructions on where the package can be delivered or ask for a phone call when it is delivered. Even leaving a package out of sight may make all the difference;... Ask a trusted friend or neighbour to receive your package at the time of delivery; If allowed by an employer, have the packages delivered to your work; Have the package delivered to a delivery depot where it can be held for pickup; Consider installing a motion-detection home security system that records video and sends immediate notice of activity to your cell phone. Many new smart doorbell systems allow live updates; Some stores provide a pickup-in-store service that allow you to pick up items from a nearer location; Look carefully when ordering as retailers may have a way of customizing delivery instructions. If you have been victim of a theft from your porch or have any information that may assist the OPP, please contact 1-888-310-1122.

The internet in our great town is... umm... well.... It is awful. Inadequate. Unreliable. The good news?... Wightman is currently installing high fibre optic cable in our town. It is a $56 million project. When it is done our internet will be significantly better. Todd

Veterans Way area/Pheasant Court/Drew Brown Update A resident contacted me about pathways and ploughing in the Veterans Way/Pheasant Court Area area. The pathways were not being cleared of snow. RULES:... The town is supposed to clear the pathways that run along the sides of houses that connect the sidewalks on two roads that run parallel to one another. The main path shown in the attached map is cleared because it was the connection from the first phase of the new development into the Pheasant Court area. SOLVE: For some reason, over time, this area was not being looked after with excellence. Moving forward it will be ploughed on a regular basis. CONCLUSION: I would like to thank local resident AJ Cappuccitti for calling me about this. We walked the area together and discussed the issue. It was great to link in and solve a problem together. My thanks to you AJ! Please share this update with your neighbours in the area. Todd
