Hey Everyone! I’m excited to officially launch our Patreon page a donation platform used to support this exploration inside the global Iaido, Kendo, Kyudo, Jodo, and Naginata practice and community. https://www.patreon.com/tokushikaicanada... Your contributions will be used to improve and expand on what the podcast has become. It will be invested in cool bonus content, and help kickstart new ideas for strengthening our connections through space (a world of practitioners) and time (decades of experience). The Patreon platform gives me more ways to work with you, the leaders in your respective communities, who consistently make the most of fragile situations even prior to the pandemic. You’re the ones that have thrived while isolated from your Sensei. You’re the ones that have maintained an optimistic outlook despite high student attrition rates. And you’re the ones that have continued to build on your own practice and that of your community against all odds. Whether you’re deep in this journey, or just getting started, the experiences and lessons you’ve collected is a legacy worth sharing. Join me at https://www.patreon.com/tokushikaicanada

Checkout Episode S01 - A special birthday release of the Tokushikai Inside Look Podcast where friends and family reminisce on our very first Iaido group trip to Japan in 2007. In this whirlwind 10-day journey across central Japan, we visit castles, shrines & temples in Osaka, Kyoto, Inari, and Koyasan; we spend a night at the Jigokudani Monkey Park near Nagano; we practice Iaido in Ohara with Trevor Jones Sensei, and in Tokyo with Kikkawa Sensei, Yoshimura Sensei, Kuwata Sen...sei, Hatakenaka Sensei, and Tsubaki Sensei. Through all the walking, all the trains, and all the challenges of traveling in a foreign country, we've stuck together as friends for all these years.
