BIG DAY here at the farm! Chris from Hay Family Farm & Firewood brought 7 cattle over for a fall grazing program. Words cant express how cattle make me feel. A beginning to a great relationship between two #Muskokafarmsmatter Next years grazing program should be a great experience for the two ventures.

A before and after photo of rail fence repairs. The plan is to save enough $ to replace this entire length of rail fence with high tensile electric in the next decade to facilitate planned grazing on either side. 32 acres of pasture broken down to paddocks for rotational grazing.

This is why you are supposed to keep saplings out of direct fence lines......this 750 meter section of fencing will need to be offset by 4, in two directions in the coming years with high tensile fencing to create a straighter set of lines.

If youve invested in ownership of The Good Food Co-op- look at what you own! We are so pleased with the amazing momentum that the Co-op is feeling right now. O...ur produce and meat departments are brimming, The Uproot Cafe is creating beautiful prepared foods, weve just opened a new Espresso Bar and regional grocery market on 26 Main St., we have just been the recipients of a generous District of Muskoka grant to allow us to create better financial access to healthy local foods with FREE Good Food boxes and FREE community lunches(stay tuned!), and we are consistently providing our amazing community members with employment opportunities! If you shop and eat here, this is truly THANKS to you! With your continued support, we will maintain this positive growth and social change! We love seeing you, we love feeding you, we love our food producers and we are extremely grateful for all of it! See more
