Dear THBS Members, The health and safety of our membership remains a top priority. After reviewing the new provincial stay at home orders and much discussion, the THBS executive is regrettably cancelling the remainder of the 2020/2021 bowling season. Ontario will most likely not be moving to a safe zone in the near future as it rolls out its vaccine plans and COVID-19 continues to spread.... At this time, we would usually be holding elections for our new executive. Given the current situation and that we are not actively bowling, this is not possible. Your executive has agreed to stay in their current roles until the next election cycle in 2022. If anyone has an objection to this, a special meeting for the purpose of suspending the articles of election until 2022 can be convened to vote on. Your executive will continue to operate and hold meetings as required. We will advise the membership of any necessary updates. We do plan to host a NO TAP tournament on August 21, 2021 and return to regular bowling on September 12. Your current membership will be valid for the 2021-2022 season. If you wish a refund on your current membership, please email [email protected]. All declared scores from last fall will be refunded in the near future. Stay home and stay safe. Your executive, Patrick, Robert, Nicole, Alan, Klaus and David.

Dear Bowlers We hope this post finds you and your loved ones safe & healthy during this epic time. Your Executive continues to meet virtually, every month continuing to oversee the operations of the league.... We are still planning on a fall season and hoping to have our registration no tap tournament on Saturday August 22nd. Details will be forthcoming. The Executive is currently developing a Return to Play protocol working with the bowling house and relying on information provided by the Ontario Government. We will provide more information as it comes forth. Your Executive has decided that a social gathering to celebrate the year end (2019-20 season) is not possible. Therefore, we will be issuing refunds to all those who purchased tickets. Your check should arrive next week. Due to the heavy volume of mail that Canada Post is experiencing it may take a little longer. Please remember your Executive is here for you. If you have any questions or we can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us. Kind regards, Your Executive 2020-21 Patrick, Robert, Nicole, Klaus, Alan and David.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL BOWLERS: We are postponing our Year End awards gathering until further notice. We are hoping for an early summer gathering. However, we are still going to pay out our cash recognitions. You should receive a cheque in the mail in the next few weeks. ... On April 4 (the original party date) we will be holding the mega raffle draw. We will video tape the draw for verification. Winners will be notified shortly thereafter. The Executive has assembled a team of volunteers to assist any bowler that may require assistance during these times i.e. shopping for groceries or medications etc. and are instructed in the proper protocol. If you find yourself requiring assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us either by phone or email through our contacts listed here. We will continue to take our cues from public health officials and advise you accordingly. Please remember the following precautions: 1. Practice Hand Hygiene Washing hands with soap and water thoroughly, for at least 20 seconds (some recommend singing the Alphabet song to gauge the proper length of time), will be the best line of defense to prevent sickness or spreading of germs. If soap is not available, alcohol-based hand sanitizers are an alternative. Always wash hands: a) After coughing or sneezing b) Before, during and after you prepare and eat food c) After using the washroom/toilet d) When caring for others e) When hands are dirty 2. Decrease Touch Points Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth and avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid shaking hands or other contact greetings. SOCIAL DISTANCING As there is a lot of information being made available globally, through many sources, we encourage you to get your updates only from reliable, trustworthy sources. These include: Public Health Agency of Canada https://www.canada.ca/en/public- health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection.html Ontario Ministry of Health https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus Toronto Public Health https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/health-wellness- care/diseases-medications-vaccines/coronavirus/ To you and your loved ones stay safe & healthy, Your Executive, Patrick, Robert, Nicole, Alan, Klaus, Jo, David.
