Peter Maher shared this on his birthday a few days ago and I thought I should share it too. So much fun doing this and I/we all miss getting together regularly to practice and play. Hopefully soon again. Thanks to everyone supporting us by coming to our live performances which we'll resume when we're all safe and healthy again. In the mean time, wishing everyone good health and happiness. ... If you can, try to support your friends in local small businesses too, that can't be open to the public and whose businesses and livelihoods are all suffering from the continued restrictions. They all need your support too. Garret Florist on Avenue Rd, your favourite pub with live music (us? LOL), Drums n Flats, and Dan Ferracuti, local hair stylists, restaurants that are still offering takeout to keep their staff working and earning money. A Gift Certificate from any one of these that can be redeemed when they can welcome the public back through their doors would be so helpful to them it what could be a pretty quiet Christmas. This is when so many businesses make the majority of their yearly sales. Costco or Starbucks or Walmart don't need any more but small businesses do. Let's "Make the Festive Season Festive Again" (to coin a phrase). It's also the Season of Gratitude, where we can all make a point of counting our blessings and express gratitude for all the good things we have, in spite of challenging times. I for one am grateful for good health, and the good health of my family and friends and for being able to play music with these Outstanding Gentlemen. Cheers.
