Update December 10th 2020 3:40 PM --- The Slave Lake Region has seen a decrease of four cases of COVID-19 since yesterday’s update. Bringing the total active cases in the region to 26. Since the start of the global pandemic there have been 85 recorded cases of COVID-19 in the Slave Lake Region. Update December 9th 2020 4:15 PM --- The Slave Lake Region has seen a decrease of five cases of COVID-19 since yesterday’s update. Bringing the total active cases in the region to 30. Since the start of the global pandemic there have been 84 recorded cases of COVID-19 in the Slave Lake Region. Of the 84 active cases, 54 cases have recovered. With the recent changes announced December 8, 2020 by the Government of Alberta, the Town of Slave Lake will be adjusting operations t...o meet the new measures mandated by the Province. Effective Yesterday, masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces and workplaces. Masks are mandatory in all Town of Slave Lake buildings and facilities effective immediately. Effective Dec. 13, the Town Facilities will be operating under the new provincial guidelines. The Town of Slave Lake Offices hours will remain open to the public from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, closed over the lunch hour. Please be aware that Staff available on-site will be reduced and some processes may take longer to complete. Effective December 13, 2020 the MRC will be closed to the public. The Legacy Centre will remain closed to the public with the exception of the Daycare and WJS still operating. The Northern Lights Aquatic Centre will remain closed to the public. There will be No Public Access to Town of Slave Lake Maintenance Shops or the Fire Hall for the duration of these measures. Effective Dec. 13, the Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library will be operating under the new provincial guidelines. The Rotary Club of Slave Lake Public Library will be closed to the public. Curb-side Holds and Picks up will be available starting Monday December 14th. Step 1: Place your holds online through Trac Pac or by calling the Library at 780-849-5250. Step 2: Library Staff will schedule a time for you to come pick your items up at the library side entrance. Step 3: Call the Library from your call when you arrive and Library staff we’ll bring your items out to you. The new measures include the new mandatory mask mandate, and the ban of indoor social gatherings that are now in effect.
