Hey everyone! A very exciting opportunity has been brought to our attention by OPP Constable Simpson on behalf of the Northumberland OPP. The Ontario Provincial Police Auxiliary is a group of dedicated volunteers who work with regular force OPP officers to ensure safety and well-being for the Province of Ontario. I would like to introduce everyone to our new joint major rep, Lexi (she/her)! She is a 3rd year Joint Major of Biology and Forensic Science with a Minor in Psychology. She spends her time working at a veterinary clinic just outside of Peterborough or hanging out with her friends. You can catch her during orientation week as a Champlain O-Week leader or watching Criminal Minds and Harry Potter. I would like to introduce our first year representative, Misti Noel (she/her)! She is in her first year of core Forensic Science! When she’s not studying, she likes to admire flowers, dabble with an instrument, swim, or laugh with friends. She has a deep fondness for road trips and ice cream, and she is also incredibly excited to see where this year takes us! She’s especially looking forward to using her online schooling experience to help foster connection and community despite our current limitations.

Did you order forensics clothing like this last year and couldn’t pick it up? We are tabling tomorrow in the student centre from 11-3 and on Thursday in Otonabee college from 9:30-11:30. Then after the Thursday tabling time, our paint event and general meeting are also being held! As a reminder, everyone must have a completed COVID module and wear a face mask/covering while picking up orders. If you have any questions, feel free to message us!

And for our last executive introduction, hello everyone! My name is McKenna (she/her) and I am our webmaster this year! I’m currently in my 2nd year of Forensic Science, with a specialization in law and policing. This is also my 2nd year on the society! In my free time I enjoy photography, working out and watching the latest Netflix shows. When I go home, I spend all of my time with my pets (including dogs, horses, a donkey and a pig). This year, I’m so excited to promote all of the amazing events we are organizing for all of you! If you have any questions or want to see a photo of my pig, don’t hesitate to send me a message :)

Good evening everyone!! We are so excited to announce our first event of the school year! The FSS is holding our Annual General Meeting/Paint Night on September 17th from 12-2pm. The proof of your completed COVID-19 Module on Blackboard MUST be shown at the event, and face masks/coverings are required at all times. Everyone is welcome to come out, paint and attend the meeting to stay up to date with the society & learn about our events this year! We hope to see you all there!!
