TCGSAR is operational during the COVID-19 crisis Should you feel you need the services of TCGSAR for a search or rescue of a lost or missing person, please call 911. The team can only be activated by EMO, RCMP, or other police force.

Our most sincere condolences to all those affected by these most tragic and unimaginable events in NS today.

Tri-County Search and Rescue remains response ready, should our support be requested. However, we have decided to cancel all in-person team meetings and training for the next 4 weeks. On or before April 12, we will reassess and determine how we will proceed from that point on.We will be actively assessing this date as the situation evolves. Members are encouraged to do their part and prioritize their health, the health of their families, and of our community. #GSAR #COVID19

Tri-County members spend their day long training exercise practicing their shelter and fire making skills. They also practiced packaging and transporting a subject using the litter as a sled and pulled it on the snow. Many thanks to Randy Breau for his excellent advise and coordinating the training for the day.
