On Friday, with much help from BBEMA, we flew a drone along the length of the Hope River estuary. The images will help us to find erosion sites, and to gauge the effect of future restoration projects. Thanks to Dave for his excellent piloting abilities!

Bat Event - this weekend It is the Halloween season, so we thought it might be a good time to discuss bats. The misunderstood creatures are actually a huge species of concern in Atlantic Canada, including here on PEI. Once they were our evening visitors, swooping around our yards and eating our insects, but they are now more rare to find. On October 24th and 25th, during what is known as Bat Week, we are setting up a bat booth at the Berry Hill Farms’ pumpkin stand, located at 20543 Route 2, Hunter River, PE. We will have some interactive materials, Halloween treats, and lots of interesting facts about bats for you all. We hope to see you all pop by to say hello to us this weekend!
