In light of the continuing surge in COVID-19 cases in British Columbia and Metro Vancouver, UCW has decided to keep all classes online for the remainder of the Fall 2020 Term. We have voluntarily made this decision as we believe it is in the best interest of our students, staff and faculty. Your safety remains our top priority and we believe this measure will help us flatten the curve so classes can resume on campus for the Winter 2021 Term. Both the West Pender and Vancouve...r House campuses will remain closed, but all services will continue to be available online. Meet UCW MBA student Mahsa who shares, "In the beginning, like many other students, online classes seemed like a pretty novel experience to me and, of course, a little bit difficult. But as we went further, I managed to study effectively and passed my courses successfully. My schedule is so busy due to my studies and work, but when I get time, I try to watch TV shows to further improve my English. I suggest other students keep in contact with their classmates and use a schedule in order not to lose track of any assignment deadlines." #myucanwest #ucanwest

Have you visited Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver? This nationally significant park is approximately 75 hectares and is an example of the remaining old-growth coastal forest in the Lower Mainland. It features the lighthouse, which is a national historic site, trails for walking and hiking and is a well-known place for Vancouverites to have a picnic in the summertime. #myucw #ucanwest

Did you know that our London Building campus has a lot of Vancouver history? Built in 1912 during the pre-Great War building boom, the London Building has been a prominent structure in Vancouver’s downtown city centre. The building still has many of the original interior and exterior features and designs. Huge news for University Canada West! Starting October 20, 2020 international students who are currently outside of Canada and who will be attending a designated learning institution (DLI) that has an approved COVID-19 readiness plan in place will be provided entry into Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said it will have a list of DLIs with approved COVID-19 plans on its website on or before October 20. University Canada West (UCW) expects to be on t...he list when it is made available as UCW’s reopening plan has received approval from the Ministry of Advanced Education.
