Ukrainian Church Guelph Community 09.11.2020

Слава сусу Христу! Dear parishioners, For the month of November, we will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at Holy Protection of the Mother of God (Guelph) only. The reason is because we are well into the second wave of the pandemic and for the sake of minimizing the possibility of infection.... So, every Sunday of November, we will start at 11 am. We should expect a few parishioners (1 or 2 households) from the Cambridge parish to join us. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND 1. Bishop Bryan grants dispensation to all faithful of our Eparchy from Sunday obligation 2. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms, please stay at home. 2. If you choose to attend Divine Liturgy: - fill out the form at the entrance - arrive earlier than the start time - adhere to the direction of parish volunteers - everyone attending must wear a mask (now mandatory) while inside the church. If you can not wear a mask for the duration of the Divine Liturgy, please do not come to church 3. Washrooms will be available for urgent use only 4. The Divine Liturgy will be recited - not sung 5. Thank you for keeping a prayerful atmosphere in church May God continue to grace us with His hope and peace. In Christ, Fr. Andrij Figol

Слава сусу Христу! Dear parishioners, As we continue to maneuver through this time of pandemic we bring some 'normalcy' to coming together in prayer. Obviously, we are not 'back to normal' and this is why the schedule for services is staggered and may change as we go. I unexpectedly had to change my vacation date, so here is the update and apologize if this causes an inconvenience.... SCHEDULE August: 30th - Cambridge at 10 am - capacity of 12 households (observe feast of Dormition) September: 6th - No Divine Liturgy - Father Andrij on Vacation (moved from August 30) 13th - Guelph at 11 am - capacity of 21 households (increased from 17) 20th - Cambridge at 10 am - capacity of 12 households (observe feast of Nativity of the Mother of God - Praznyk) 27rd - Guelph at 11 am - capacity of 21 households (Divine Liturgy for Children in English) NEWS If you are wondering, we did not reach full capacity at either parish. We actually increased capacity in the Guelph parish, so there is room if you choose to attend. Also, in September we will be holding parish council meetings at both parishes after the Divine Liturgy. Holy Protection of the Mother of God parish (Guelph): September 13 Nativity of the Mother of God parish (Cambridge): September 20 Among other topics, we will look at the parish financial situation and start a financial plan of recovery. More to come later. We will get through this so long as we remain steadfast in prayer and hopeful in God's will. As an fyi, in August, we had a parish council meeting in the Cambridge parish and one point was to keep an ongoing and clear communication. These updates are a reply to that request and will continue into the near future. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND 1. Bishop Bryan grants dispensation to all faithful of our Eparchy from Sunday obligation 2. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms, please stay at home. 2. If you choose to attend Divine Liturgy: - fill out the form (see attachment) at home if possible - arrive earlier than the start time - adhere to the direction of parish volunteers - everyone attending must wear a mask (now mandatory) while inside the church. If you can not wear a mask for the duration of the Divine Liturgy, please do not come to church 3. Washrooms will be available for urgent use only 4. The Divine Liturgy will be recited - not sung 5.
