Badass wine alert . We got our hands on a small selection of epic Grenache from Comando G. This project is a partnership between two friends who met while studying winemaking in Madrid in 2005. They found they shared a lot in common, including a love for Grenache. Comando G was born in 2008 and focuses on making wonderfully pure Grenache from rugged vineyards in the Sierra de Gredos mountain range outside of Madrid. They take inspiration from Burgundy in classifying their w...ines, with village level, premier cru and grand cru designations, and they take inspiration for the wines from the likes of Chateau Rayas . We got a small amount of all 3 wines pictured for both locations. The La Bruja de Rozas and Mataborricos are both $35 + tax. The Rozas 1er Cru is $60.
