Wallaceburg Soccer continues to process claims as fast as the bank will allow us. As many of you know we received a setback when SportsEngine told us they would not refund any registrations that occurred prior to Feb. 24th. This is a major setback for us but we continue to process refunds daily. In the event you have not contacted us, we need a confirmation email sent to [email protected] in order for us to begin your refund process. Wallaceburg Soccer apologizes for the setback!

As many of you know soccer registration would have began by now. While we are still in the middle of this pandemic and unsure of what the future may hold, we still hope to have a season this year. At this time, we are beginning to gather interest by gathering names of those players, coaches and officials who may want to participate in soccer this year. Just a reminder to watch your email for an e transfer from Wallaceburg Soccer if you have already confirmed your email address. Once you receive your e transfer, please accept the request in order to process the request. If you registered at the arena or online prior to Feb. 24th, we need you confirm your email so you can receive your e transfer.

WSA Update (May 29th) Due to the uncertainty of the COVID 19 virus, the Wallaceburg Soccer Association has made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the 2020 season for all adult and youth programs. During this pandemic and always, our top priority remains safety for players, officials, coaches and families and it is becoming apparent this cannot occur at this time. In order to provide refunds to all families at this time, the executive will be returning money in one o...f two ways. If you submitted a player entry online through our website wallaceburgsoccer.ca, you will receive a refund in the amount you paid Wallaceburg Soccer through SportsEngine. The second method involves WSA sending a refund in the amount you paid through E-Transfer. If you paid in person at one of our dates at the arena, we ask that you send an email to [email protected] for confirmation or correction. Wallaceburg Soccer will begin sending out refunds on or about June 1st and this process may take several weeks to complete as we are limited in the number or transactions we may complete in a day. Wallaceburg Soccer appreciates the uneasiness as we move forward in these unprecedented times of uncertainty. We understand that there are posts circulating saying sports in Chatham Kent have been cancelled for the summer as parks remain closed. This in fact is not true! Although parks remain closed at this time, we have not been told that we must cancel our season. Rather the municipality has recently met and discussed removing certain services to recover lost income due to... Covid 19. In the event the 2020 season does get cancelled, Wallaceburg Soccer will implement a system in which we will refund registration fees in the safest manner possible. Safety for all is most important to Wallaceburg Soccer and we appreciate your patience as parents, players, coaches and officials. As a side note, if you feel it is unsafe for you or your child to participate this year and would insist in not participating; we ask that you send an email with your name as well as your child or children's names and to [email protected] so we can create a list and move forward with the refund process when it is safe to do so. In the safety of all players, coaches, officials and spectators the soccer season has been further delayed until Soccer Ontario and the municipality give us permission to safely move forward. Although delaying the start of the season is necessary, we will try to accommodate an appropriate season for all. Please note that in the event of a modification or the cancellation of the season we will move forward with refund or partial refunds at that time and at this time we are unable to process any requests due to social distancing policies.
