As we head into the winter months, we at Canaqua Sports have started working on our 2021 Open water swim and SwimRun event schedule. Our plan is to run a full s...chedule of events and we are also looking to add new events as we continue to grow our brand across Canada. We are always looking for new locations and races. Wishing everyone a great holiday weekend. With all of our events cancelled we miss all of you who have supported us over the years. It is amazing how much swimm...ing is still going on as we see so many friends at Cherry Beach in Toronto and we hear about so many people who continue to swim open water at the many beaches across Canada. Keep the spirit going and lets stay safe and keep doing all the right things so that we can be certain of getting some events happening in 2021 as there will be exciting news coming in the fall. Imagine that our first event, The Welland SwimRun Challenge and Open Water Swim is coming up. It is hard to believe that we won't be there. Here are some memories of last years event. We look forward to seeing you in 2021

Such a beautiful day. It is so nice to see the weather getting warmer. It is hard to imagine that there is so much going on with Covid 19, and the numbers going... up once again in Ontario and other areas. For the past 2 months we have been hearing so many things. Here at Canaqua Sports we early on cancelled our first set of events in June and July. Now as things continue to progress and after a great deal of thought in checking out how things are going, that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the entire 2020 season for both the Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series and the Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge We had such high hopes with our numbers going strong, and with the hosting of our first ever World Cup. Now we wait until next year. We are looking forward to all our events being back, along with some new locations that we are already working on. We wish everyone a great summer, and should anything change you will be hearing from us. Be well and Stay Healthy!

We Still have 2 races at the Welland Canal...

As we enter our sixth season of Open water swimming events and fourth season of SwimRun, clearly this is not what we expected. Who would have thought that the w...orld would be shut down, and so fast Over the past years, our goal has been to promote and bring people towards the sports of Open Water Swim and SwimRun. To that end, through our various pages and groups, We now have over 3,200 Like and followers, all organically grown. People who have joined us have done so because they have wanted to, and we thank you all for your support. As we move forward, we are currently looking at a world after Covid 19 and what we can do to make sure that our races and activities continue in a safe and healthy manner. Through our races and future training sessions or clinics, Safety is number one. We thank the over 3,200 likes and followers for putting your faith in us, and we look forward to a bright future. In the meantime contunie to be safe and healthy, and if you feel so inclined share your experiences so that others can benefit from anything you have done or been through. What a few weeks it has been! After working so hard to put together a great season with so many new events, and so many new likes on on our page. With everythi...ng going on and with the current situation, many tough decisions have been made that impact many people. We thank everyone for their continued support as we work to grow SwimRun in Canada. Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Welland and Huronia SwimRuns, as well as Pinawa, and the Aquaticrunner World Cup. Please note that we are already looking ahead, and we do plan on having a full season in 2021. Should conditions be positive, we will be adding a swimrun to our Welland Canal Open Water Swim in August, with anyone who has currently registered in any other event being offered entry into this event. Watch for more information to come. In the meantime. Here are some pictures from our past. Canaqua Sports Weekly Update. With everything going on around the world, staying safe and healthy is of prime concern. As much as things are still very fluid an...d changing by the week, here are the plans so far. As mentioned previously all June events are cancelled. In addition, The Barrie Open Water Swim and the Aquaticrunner Short Course SwimRun World Cup are both cancelled. At the moment, Kenora SwimRun and open water swim and Parry Sound SwimRun and open water swim are still on as are all August and September events on our schedule. Assuming this stays as planned, we will be adding a Short SwimRun to our August event at the Welland Canal, and anyone who has entered our Welland or Huronia in June will have the opportunity of switching to the Welland event in August. Keep looking here for more updates as we try to work our way through these stressful times. Event update As we all tread our way through the current situation, we at Canaqua Sports continue to monitor the situation across Canada . With that in mind we ...are cancelling all of our June events. This includes the Pinawa Ice Breaker, Welland Open Water Swim and SwimRun, and the Huronia Open Water Swim and Swimrun Challenge. We are looking at our other events and will make announcements where appropriate. We will be jigging our other events and allowing people to transfer as requested. Note that our current plan is to add a SwimRun to the Welland Canal Open Water Swim in August. Watch for more to come. Remember to stay active.... within your home space, and most importantly stay healthy.

Canaqua Sports Update As you all know, life has changed so fast due to the Covid 19 outbreak. At Canaqua Sports we are monitoring the situation and keeping ours...elves up to date on all the latest happenings. Currently, all of our events for 2020 are on, with no plans to close them down. Know that in the event that this pandemic persists, we will act accordingly and do whatever needs to be done to keep our races and participants safe. We ask that everyone practice Social Distancing, and that you keep your hands well washed, and remember, that even in today's world you need to find ways to stay active and stay healthy.

A time when things are definitely stressed, and everyone is a little on edge is a great time to remember some of the great times we all have had doing what we e...njoy.
