Experience matters. We're celebrating twenty years of it, thanks to our community. Over two decades, we’ve been so incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by and partnered with some of the best. To everyone who has made this twenty-year journey possible, on behalf of the entire team at Orbis, we thank you. #ExperienceMatters #RelevantExperiences #MeaningfulCareers #AFutureofFulfilledPotential #FutureHigherLearning

As we know, higher education has always been about far more than the content of academic coursework. Peers, professors, staff, and alumni provide valuable social capital. Athletics, research, social clubs, internships, study abroad programs, and other high-value learning experiences are essential elements of an educational experience. These experiences offer students critical opportunities to develop in-demand employability skills (communication, growth mindset, emotional int...elligence, creativity, decision-making, leadership, and cultural intelligence) that set a point of differentiation for graduates in today's workforce. Long-term student livelihood is contingent on the next generation of leaderships' ability to lead, well, effectively. Join Cameron McCoy, of Lehigh University, and Mary Strain, of Hyland Credentials, at 1:00 PM today, for our first Mindset in Motion session, "The Modern Credential Ecosystem: Equity, Agency and the Currency of High-Value Learning Experiences," to explore answers to today's most pressing questions critical to shaping student career readiness and the future of higher learning. Questions, like: How are academic institutions creating opportunities to recognize and create value for all of these learning experiences? How are those experiences aligned to existing paradigms of value outside of the issuing institution? How can stakeholders verify such credentials? How are students empowered with agency over the records of their accomplishments? There are still seats available (and joining is free). Coffee recommended, but (sadly) not provided due to digital limitations... #GetYourMindinMotion #MindsetinMotion #ListeningandLearning #Blockchaintechnology #Credentials #studentempowerment #tomorrowsleadership #careerready #campuspartner #wegotthis

Prior to joining Hyland, Mary led large-scale digital credentialing initiatives in New York City and in several US states. The wellness and dynamic of our team at Orbis is really important to us. We innovate quickly and the team is always hitting the ground running to get new developments and advances made to our technologies. Beyond professional development offerings and support, one of the little things we do to keep momentum going is host monthly team-led breakfasts, made in our open-concept office kitchen, and usually themed in some way. This pic is from one of those breakfasts. We can't say we remember exactly what was served, but we know these guys definitely didn't disappoint! #WeAreOrbis #Flashbackfriday #dreamteam #innovationfuel #officefun #futuretechnology #buildsomething #experientiallearning #skilldevelopment #teamwork #ICARE #

Another successful entry in our Teams background contest, at Orbis, submitted by none other than Sandy Cowan, our talented Director of Product Development. Despite working from home, our team takes strides to make each other laugh and lift one another’s spirits. (Leave it to Jerry Seinfeld to know how to do that - or Sandy!) We hope everyone has a beautiful and well deserved long weekend! ... #Winning #WeAreOrbis #Team #Together #FBF See more

We met hundreds (thousands?) of post-secondary students and recent graduates, at the Connect to Careers Job Fair months ago. We had amazing conversations with a wealth of educated and enthusiastic post-secondary student and recent graduate talent from across the city. We can't wait until we get to attend this event again, in person, sometime in the not too distant future. Until then... #WeAreOrbis #technologythatmatters #tomorrowsleaders #skilldevelopment #competenciescount #careerready #experiencematters #postsecondaryeducation #university #college #opportunities #together

Time flies when you're innovating. Here's a throwback photo of our Director of Outcome Campus Connect, Natalie Nitsopoulos, and our Executive Director, Emily Eley, at the Accelerator for Women in Entrepreneurship, at Innovation Factory, in our hometown of Hamilton! Our team is committed to ongoing, lifelong learning and development. A huge part of what keeps us moving forward and ahead of the curve is that we are always open to new information, always curious, always ready to... adapt and grow. Even while working remotely, our team is still busy learning, planning, and answering 'why' with 'how'. As our technology and partnerships evolve, our team keeps looking forward, excited for what's next. #WeAreOrbis #Team #HamiltonProud #Innovation #learning #entrepreneuriship #techmatters #campuspartner #experientiallearning #skilldevelopment #HamiltonOntario
