Over the past 9 months many families have added a new canine companion to their lives, Pandemic Puppies. Please be sure to invest time into training and socializing them. It’s our responsibility to ensure our dogs are well adjusted members of our community. Please don’t let them down

Today is Remembrance Day Please take a moment to reflect and give thanks. Far too many have made the ultimate sacrifice enabling us the privilege to live in safety and freedom. They will not be forgotten. "United States Soldiers pay tribute to the 8 million Horses, Donkeys, and Mules that lost their lives during World War I, 1918"

Happy Halloween!!! While this Halloween might be a bit different than those in the past, please remember to keep your pets safe! Keep your furry family members indoors tonight and be sure they don't have an opportunity to escape when the Trick or Treaters come to your door. Halloween is fun for us, but some of our pets might find it a bit scary. Be a safe everyone!

Soooo Creepy.... (sound on) The fall tick bloom has definitely arrived. This week alone we have removed several ticks from 4 different CATS! The ticks in the video were removed from the neck of ONE cat alone! Please be sure to check your pets for ticks daily and don’t forget to continue to use a SAFE monthly flea and tick prevention.

West Lorne Animal Hospital 27.09.2019

If youve recently opened your pool and will be spending more time in the backyard, remember to keep an extra eye on your pet. Although many dogs enjoy taking a dip, some breeds have difficulty swimming and can easily become exhausted while in the water.

West Lorne Animal Hospital 19.09.2019

Happy Monday! We hope your week starts off better than it did for this poor little guy

West Lorne Animal Hospital 29.08.2019

Please dont leave children or pets in your car for ANY length of time. Temperatures in a vehicle increase very quickly

West Lorne Animal Hospital 20.08.2019

We could not be happier! As of May 19th, the provincial government is allowing veterinary hospitals to perform elective procedures. These include wellness exams, annual vaccinations, elective surgeries (spay and neuter) and routine blood testing - including testing for Lyme and Heartworm disease. That being said, while we are finally able to schedule appointments for our patients, our doors will remain locked. Our patients will be escorted into our hospital by one of our hos...pital team members and communication with their families will continue to be over the phone. Baby steps. We appreciate everyones patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters together as a community. We are grateful to finally again be able to provide your furry family members the medical care that they deserve! (image credits Andrea Zampatti) See more
