We're looking for a couple of talented and conscientious volunteer board members to lead and strengthen our programs within the WRSA. If you can contribute your time, thoughtfulness, and leadership one evening a month, and are interested in exploring this opportunity, call or text Dale Arsenault at 902-940-3955 to find out whether this volunteer opportunity is right for you. Does this sound like another parent you know? Please let us know or encourage them to get involved. Bo...ard members do not need to be softball experts. A good board is a well-rounded board with members who can get specific tasks done and add a calm voice in general discussions. As well we try to have board members who have players that represent all levels of play (U8-U19). This helps with succession planning and ensures that all players’ needs are addressed. At this point there’s no particular position that we’re looking to fill, just a director at large so that you can learn what we do and how each position is managed for future opportunities! Thank you Dale Arsenault President West Royalty Softball Association

A big congratulations to the following four fantastic athletes that made the Whitecaps’ U16 provincial softball team Emily Wakelin, Ella Condon, Chloe Jeffery and Alyssa Perry. Your hard work and love of the sport has caught the attention of coaches Steve Noonan and Kristen Noonan and by this, they invited you to join 11 other great ballplayers from tip to tip of the Island. For those players who tried out and unfortunately did not make the team please continue to work hard for your club ball coaches, your efforts will not go unnoticed! West Royalty Softball Association would like to wish the coaches and the team best of luck in their 2021 season.

West Royalty Softball Association would like to congratulate all the athletes that have made the provincial U14 softball team. West Royalty had 15 players try out with nine making the roster! That is an outstanding number of athletes from our association and to thank for this we have dedicated parents, incredible athletes and coaches that truly care. Coach Jeff Ellsworth commented that this was one of the toughest selections he’s had to make in his softball coaching career! ...For those of you who did not make it, this is not the end of the road for you. Talks are still in the works with Softball PEI about having an AA U14 softball league, there will be provincial teams next year, and in 2025 the Canada Games! Coach Ellsworth encourages parents or players to contact him to discuss what players might need to work on to improve and reach their softball goals. We would also like take this opportunity to wish all our U16 athletes who are also trying out for the u16 provincial team the best of luck. If you keep up the hard work, give 100% in everything you do you’ll never be disappointed with the results! The Board of Directors would like wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year! See more
