Curious about the WDIC facility? It’s held at the Ancaster Fairgrounds. The newly built sand arena that was built in the fall that will hold 2- 20x40 arenas and... a HUGE sand warmup for all three rings! Fencing around the arena will be completed this spring. We took a drive over to check it out this past fall and took these pics. We’ve been showing in their facility for a long time and is host to the Golden Horseshoe Western Dressage Series since 2017. It’s a pretty amazing show ground that has tons of space but is all within reasonable distance of the show arenas. The Walmart is 3 minutes away, as well as grocery stores, and just about any kind of food imaginable. The host Hotel the Holiday Inn Express and Suites is just 10 minutes west toward Brantford right off the 403. Beside the hotel is a Hortons/Wendy’s/KFC and a few other choices within walking distance all in one building! There are lots of trailer parking with electric hookup at the grounds with showers in the concession building. And don’t forget the huge outdoor wash rack for your horses! We will be taking a video as soon as the weather breaks and give you a virtual tour. See more

As the show season wraps up we would like to take this time to celebrate this superstar. Tyson is one of our regulars, and it has been such a joy to watch him ...accept his medical manipulation (chiropractic) and acupuncture sessions more and more with each treatment that he receives. Tyson has been showing in the Arabian and Western Dressage circuits this year and has done quite well for himself, as you can see. Here he is with all of his winnings from the Region 18 Championship Show this summer. We also just received news that Tyson has earned his Legion of Honour award from the Arabian Horse Association (AHA), which is a point-based distinction for horses that have competed and placed at AHA-events. Congratulations to Tyson and his team of hard working owners and coaches for making it all possible! We see a Legion of Supreme Honour in his future! ;)

Alt...hough we are a little different in Canada in many ways, we still honour (honor in American English) our horses. Thanks again and congratulations to all riders. The test scores were all double checked so there are a few changes. The changes are mostly due to the calculator was automating rounding. The scores posted are corrected to the 3 decimal points and these are the scores being submitted to WSDAC and SCWSDAO.

Sorry for the short notice but Windsor Farms has added a Lead line class to the August 25th show. It will be held first class after lunch at approx. 1:00. Entry... fee is $10. Entries for lead line only, will be extended to Friday August 23 6:00 p.m. To enter email Bill at [email protected] with name of rider and horse. The Lead Line class will be held as a group class with a short pattern explained below. Enter at A turn right toward F and continue on outside track around once to A. Between A and F jog to M Between M and C walk HXF change rein free walk Continue at working walk on outside track to M Between M to F 1/4 turn right to centerline and halt and line up at centerline ( All horses try to keep 1-2 horse lengths apart single file) Any questions contact Bill

Awesome results at the Region 18 Arabian Championships. Congrats to Chloe and Magill and Jeff and Tyson. Also thanks to Liz, Robyn, Daniel and David for looking after the barn while I was away. Two Horses, Three riders, 23 classes; 7 Regional Championships, 3 Reserve Championships 4 Top 5s and 5 firsts in pre show.

Whether its falling asleep under a favourite tree, or on the couch in your loving arms, we do our best to make your pets final transition as peaceful and meaningful as possible for everyone involved.
