Well we are just days away from entering a New Year. Let's hope we can be back singing before 2021 ends. My voice is rusty now and I can only imagine what another year will do to it. Chins up dear friends and hope to see you all soon.
Some of the choir will remember Der Markham's P.R. Pitch. Found the attached in old copy from 1983. Received quite treasure trove of old stuff from Ron McNutt's daughter Candace.
The Choir is anxiously waiting to hear when we might be able to assemble as a group. In the meantime most of us are singing to our cats, dogs, birds and significant others or ourselves to keep from going too rusty. Some have sent videos into virtual choirs, joining others across Canada and Internationally to produce lovely videos. Hope my own gets selected for The National Arts Centre's Orchestra's video of O Canada set to be played on Canada Day. We are all a part of this pandemic and we must follow the rules until this thing is beaten. Keep your chins and vocal chords up.
At this point time tonight, we would have completed the afternoon concert and would be gathering to share the experience again with our evening audience...... In this time of uncertainty and unknown, know that we all miss you too and that we will meet again https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=dTWy9jim7Mw Stay strong, stay safe!
It is with sad hearts that our executive committee wishes to share that we have cancled our April 25th concert. This was not a decision made lightly, but one made with the love and concern for not only our choir members but our loving fans and audience. We hope you all stay safe and don't forget to wash your hands.
