Friends! On Saturdays from 10-3PM (Starting November 14th), The Workshop on Barton will be hosting local makers and vintage sellers! This mini market will feature 4-5 unique vendors every week and will be a great opportunity for holiday shopping the small and sustainable way - all while supporting some fantastic people Every week will feature at least one vintage vendor as well as a great mix of makers/artists (from earrings, macrame, bath bombs, zines, prints, apparel - ...you name we'll have it!) Stay tuned for full vendor schedule and some sneak peeks of what will be available. Please help to spread the word and hope to see you all there. Join us for Saturday's film photo walk . Grab your camera and meet us at: 314 Barton St E 1:30PM ... We'll have a quick meet & greet in the studio and head out for a walk in the area. The walk will last between 1.5 - 2 hours with 5-6 stops for photo ops. All ages welcome - don't have much experience with film? No problem. There will be plenty of folks around to answer your questions or offer advice. Masks are required inside and encouraged outside. If we have larger numbers we'll split into 2 groups. *Long and sappy post alert* Over the past few weeks, I've had mixed emotions: uncertainty, fear, doubt - would I be able to open my doors again? ...when the business is allowed to open - would I have a leg to stand on? ... Truthfully, I let myself give up for a little bit, and gave into the fears that others had for my future and financial well-being. I thought 'they're right, I couldn't possibly succeed after all this'. After dwelling there for a while, I started to reflect back on the reason I invested in a physical space in the first place. My 'why' was people and community. If this pandemic has shown me anything, it's how much I've taken this exact thing for granted. People being together. I'm thankful to have been reminded of my 'why' and am motivated to put energy into planning events and creating a community in the space. Thank you to all those that have reached out and offered words of support.
