I wanted to share this beautiful quilt that was made by Sue. The pattern is The Old Rugged Cross. This is from a kit that she bought from me. Sue is donating this. What a beautiful job. Lovely quilting with added crystals.

I've been working on a quilt for May/June McCall's magazine. It's a large Queen sized with lots of extra embellishments. It's taking way longer than expected, but it has made me realize how much I love handwork, yo-yos, beading, all that stuff and has rekindled my desire to write a book featuring these techniques. Of course I can't show the quilt before publication, but I can show a teaser photo. Northcott fabrics.

I'm going to start using pattern testers again. If you are interested, please send me a message. What I was thinking is emailing out a "tested once by me" pattern. I'd give you a time frame to have the quilt done. You can yes or no, if you like it and have time, that's great, say yes. If it's not a quilt you'd like to make or are busy, it's cool, say no. You'd use your own stash. What I'd be looking for you to test for are any mistakes, typos, anything that is not user friendly. I'd use the picture of your quilt for promo, possibly in the pattern. Payment would be $50 credit towards anything I sell on FB or Etsy.

I'm ordering from my US wholesaler. Is there a pattern anyone would like to me get that you can't find locally? Here are a few that I am getting.

I'm finally getting this pattern written. Jean Hogan gets a free pattern for coming up with the name "Stars in Stars". The first image is the Queen size version. I like to show two versions. which one do all of you like better for the throw size, the second image or the third (or should I start from scratch)?

I need a name for this design. I can't reveal the fabrics yet. This is a throw size quilt, with a panel in the middle. There will also be a twin size version in the pattern. Free pattern to whoever comes up with a name that I choose. Thanks everyone. Great suggestions again, of course. I'm going with "Butterflies are Free" suggested first by Barbara Harless Knappenberger
