Canadians, we need your #help! This is one of those stories that is heartbreaking and highlights why we do what we do. If you are in Nova Scotia, or know anyon...e who is, we especially need you to share and help us advocate in these days leading up to Christmas. Meet Army and Sergeant. Their human is terminally ill and it is his greatest wish that Sergeant and Army are settled in a new home so he can rest easy knowing that his much beloved companions are loved, safe, and secure. Can you help us grant this important wish? A bit about these two fine lads: These senior boys would make lovely companions for someone who is home most of the time with no other pets. They get anxious when their person is not available to attend to their snack schedule and do not care to be left on their own. Children over 13 who are dog savvy are welcome to assist with their snack schedule too! ;) Both dogs have chronic health issues that require daily medication. Sergeant has arthritis in both his front and back legs and Army has intestinal tract anal disease. They will need to continue their regular vet visits and #Elderdog has committed to paying all costs associated with their medication. We want these boys to have a wonderful home, and their human to have peace in these final days... At 13 years old, both are pretty content to hang out at home and for a ball to be thrown a few feet in a fenced backyard. Grooming is not their favourite activity but they like to look good so will tolerate it for a while. Sergeant is dog reactive so it is essential that their new home be pet free. Time is critical here so we ask that you help us help Army, Sergeant and their human by sharing this post or call 902-434-4583 for additional information.
