Message from Fred Mah: The Mah building has been nominated for the city of Vancouver Heritage Award--people's choice. After years of trying to get our heritage building renovated we are finally seeing the end of the tunnel. The renovation completion date is at the end of May. This is the first Chinatown society heritage building to be renovated. We are hoping to utilize it as a demonstration to the societies that it is financially feasible to renovate these century old heritage buildings. Once the renovation is complete we will have a press conference and an open house for anyone who is interested for a visit inside the building.
