Are you looking for our Day 2 (August 1, 2020) Halifax Busker Festival performances? Well ... it wouldn't be a festival without some technical difficulties, and Facebook has blocked our video in Canada due to some a music copyright. BUT, you can find it on YouTube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=44fecSywoV0!... The tip links are in the video description. Our apologies for this glitch ... we hope you'll still watch the shows, tip the performers, and enjoy!

2020 Halifax Busker Festival Online is THIS WEEKEND! We've received a few questions about how the online festival works, and want to fill you all in! The performances will be live at 1pm ADT on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the Halifax Busker Festival Facebook page and Youtube (https://tinyurl.com/buskershfxonline). They will also be available to watch at your convenience on Facebook and Youtube immediately after the last performance. If you watch live, you may catch some of the buskers popping into the comments to say hello! HOW DO I TIP THE PERFORMERS? As usual, the performances are free to watch, HOWEVER we do encourage tipping the buskers. QR codes and links will be provided in the videos, as well as in the comments and on our website at www.buskers.ca. Live or online, nothing makes a Sunday afternoon better than listening to Christine Campbell and Blake Johnston! They're part of our Nova Scotia Marquee Stage on August 2 during 2020 Halifax Busker Festival Online! Christine Campbell’s latest album Roller Coaster, is a true representation of her diverse influences- from hard rock to 70’s rock to roots and blues. Christine has added top-calibre artists like Jeff Burrows from The Tea Party to add their musical talent to the son...gs. And classifieds co-writing and co-production pumps it up even more. Roller Coaster offers a narrative of a small town girl who has become a powerful performer, known for her mastery of guitar, piano and killer rock vocals. Blake Johnston is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist based in Halifax Nova Scotia. Born in Mt. Uniacke, a small town outside of Halifax. By the age of 13 he had already started playing parties and bars in cover bands at 16. At age 19 he began putting together what would eventually become his debut original rock band The Stogies. In their travels the Stogies have shared the stage with The Stanfields, Wintersleep, Gloryhound, Jessie Brown and The Black Divine, The Mahones, Steven Page, and The Long Distance Runners to name a few. In 2013 Blake was recruited by up and coming rock queen Christine Campbell. Blake has since backed up Ms. Campbell, written songs for and played guitar on Christine’s solo album. With The Christine Campbell band, he has opened for Bob Seger, Lou Gramm (the voice of Foreigner), The Kentucky Headhunters, Rick Derringer, Matt Minglewood, and Monster Truck. www.buskers.ca

Join us on Sunday, August 2 for the Nova Scotia Marquee Music Stage! It's an afternoon full of amazing musicians, including Gizelle de Guzman - Musician! A true diamond in the rough, Gizelle de Guzman hails from the tiny Albertan town of Cremona. Although she’s been missing out on beef jerky and hometown ho’ downs, Gizelle has been carving out her own style of Country on the East Coast in recent years by collaborating with local artists and touring from Nova Scotia to Ontario. Gizelle has been honing her skills as a heartfelt songwriter and engaging live performer and is known for using authentic lyrics while presenting her dynamic vocals in her music. Seeing her live, she will captivate you from a range of slow acoustics to catchy, sing-along barn tunes. www.buskers.ca
