Autoimmune conditions are not genetic. They arise due to certain genetics being activated by external factors and the function of the immune system. One major f...actor that I will discuss is poor Vagus nerve function. The Vagus nerve is one of the longest nerves in the body, and the only nerve to begin in the brainstem, and go into the thorax and abdomen. It controls inflammation levels and function of the stomach, intestines, liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas and many other organs in the body. If the vagus nerve is not functioning well, signals to these organs will be limited, thus function will be limited. These organs will not be able to do their jobs correctly and our bodies will suffer. When you work out at the gym doing Bicep curls, you strengthen the function of the nerves sending signals to the bicep muscles. If you dont do bicep curls, the nerve firing will slow down - the same thing happens with the Vagus nerve. It must be trained and used regularly in order to function optimally.
